BURNLEY, United Kingdom: Liverpool joined the Premier League’s top four for the first time since February after a 3-0 win at Burnley.
Goals from Roberto Firmino, Nathaniel Phillips and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain ensure Jurgen Klopp’s side still have a chance to hunt for a place in next season’s Champions League when they overtake Leicester by goal difference for fourth place.
A home win against Crystal Palace on Sunday will guarantee Liverpool a place on Europe’s highest stage.
“Now that we’re going to have the support of 10,000 people at Anfield, I can’t wait.
“It’s like the semi -final. We have to win the semi -final and we did it. There is no certainty but we have improved our position and now we are going to the final. That’s what we need,” Klopp said of the meeting against Burnley.
Leicester are four goals behind Liverpool so they need to overcome the Reds’ decision when hosting Tottenham’s visit at King Power.
Third -placed Chelsea, one point ahead of Liverpool and Leicester, travel to Aston Villa on the final day of the campaign.
