LONDON: Liverpool are urged to step up efforts to get either Kylian Mbappe or Jadon Sancho to replace Mohamed Salah.
The call was made by former club player Danny Murphy, who wants Liverpool to continue an excellent record in the transfer market.
“If you are going to lose someone like Salah or (Sadio) Mane, there must be a plan to replace the player.
“The Liverpool team relies heavily on their top three players, so you can’t take a risk. You have to bring in star players.
“I don’t think many out there are better than Salah in terms of number and ability to win matches and score goals. Maybe Sancho or Mbappe,” Murphy said.
Salah’s contract with Liverpool expires in the summer of 2023, and he caught the attention of Spanish giants Real Madrid and Barcelona when he revealed that he did not rule out the possibility of changing clubs.
