LONDON: Mesut Ozil has signed a three-and-a-half-year deal to join Fenerbahce from Arsenal, according to sensational reports in Turkey.
The German World Cup winner, who received £ 350,000 a week, did not play for the second season with the Gunners.
Mikel Arteta excluded the 32-year-old from the Premier League squad and European level competition with him appearing to try and force him out of the Emirates.
Ozil has now entered the last six months of his contract and is free to discuss with foreign clubs and clubs in MLS as well as Turkey linked to the former Real Madrid player.
Reports from the DHA in Turkey claim his suffering at Arsenal ended after he agreed to join the country’s giant club, Fenerbahce.
Ozil is believed to have turned down an offer from MLS club DC United in America.
Previously, Arsenal struggled to get their performance and some believe Ozil will return to the ring when Arteta names his 25 players for domestic matches and the Europa League later this month.
